5:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 10, 2023 is the in person civilian absentee ballot return deadline and Election Day for the 2023 October Municipal Primary Election. Please note following on either in person or by mail absentee returns.

In Person Ballot Return

• Ballots can be returned to the county board of elections office (the county who issued your ballot) by 5:00 PM on Election Day
• Prior to Election Day, ballots can be returned in person to a one-stop early voting site in the county that issued the ballot during the early voting period (9/21-10/07/2023).
• Ballots may NOT be returned to a polling place on Election Day.
• Any person returning a ballot will sign in at the board of elections, to confirm delivery, per state law.

By Mail Ballot Return

• Postage for a return ballot package is $1.59. Please apply the correct postage for return.
• Ballots returned by mail must be postmarked by Election Day (10/10/2023) and received by Friday, 10/13/2023.
• We strongly recommend individuals mail ballots early to help ensure it arrives in time. If individuals place their ballot in a USPS mailbox on or near Election Day, it may not receive a postmark or may not be postmarked until the day after, depending on pickup time for that mailbox. If mailing a ballot on or near Election Day, please go into the facility and request that it be given a postmark.
