Brandon's commitment to public service is evident through his active involvement in local politics and community organizations. He serves on the North Carolina Democratic Party Executive Committee and is the former first vice-chair of the Guilford County Democratic Party.
His dedication to advocacy led him to run for the North Carolina House of Representatives in 2020 and 2022, where he championed policies aimed at benefiting his constituents.
