Frankie T. Jones, Jr. is a dedicated public servant and experienced business leader, currently serving as the Guilford County Commissioner for District 7. In his professional career, Jones is a Vice President and Managing Director in the Investments Department at Lincoln Financial. Prior to his role at Lincoln Financial, Jones was a partner at Smith Moore Leatherwood LLP, where he focused his law practice on real estate, business, and nonprofit matters.

Jones is a passionate community advocate, with extensive experience serving on several local government boards prior to becoming a County Commissioner, including the Piedmont Triad Regional Water Authority and the Greensboro Board of Adjustment. His dedication to service extends to his past and current involvement with various local organizations, including the NAACP, Greensboro Sports Council, Triad Goodwill, and Piedmont Land Conservancy. He has been recognized for his leadership and legal expertise, earning accolades such as inclusion in Best Lawyers in America and North Carolina Super Lawyers.

A graduate of Davidson College (B.A. in History) and the University of Virginia School of Law (J.D.), Jones remains active in alumni and leadership circles. He is a former chairman of the Guilford County Planning Board and has been a driving force in shaping the county's growth and development. His combination of legal acumen, business experience, and community engagement makes him a dedicated and effective leader for District 7 and Guilford County as a whole.
