He also manages the real estate private equity portfolio, drawing on his deep experience in commercial real estate and finance. Prior to his role at Lincoln Financial, Jones was a partner at Smith Moore Leatherwood LLP, where he represented developers, investors, and owners in complex real estate transactions and land use matters.

Jones is a passionate community advocate, with extensive experience serving on several local boards, including the Guilford County Planning Board and the Greensboro Board of Adjustment, where he also held leadership positions.
