Mary Beth’s deep care for her community drives her to work tirelessly on behalf of its residents, advocating for policies that improve quality of life, promote economic fairness, and address the needs of underserved populations.

Born and raised in Southern Pines, North Carolina, Mary Beth has always been rooted in values of service and community. She is proud to raise her children in Guilford County, where they are students in the public school system. Although her busy schedule as a commissioner no longer allows for coaching, she remains deeply involved in her community, having previously coached school soccer and swimming, and participated in Greensboro's public summer swim league. Mary Beth’s lifelong dedication to education, equity, and community service makes her a passionate and effective leader for Guilford County.
