Patrick Tillman serves as the District 3 Commissioner for Guilford County, elected to the Board of Commissioners in December 2022. As a public servant with a strong commitment to community development and educational initiatives, Patrick has dedicated himself to improving the quality of life for the residents of District 3. His experience as a former member of the Guilford County Board of Education, where he served from 2016 to 2022 and championed the launch of five Career Academies, lays a strong foundation for his work on the Board of Commissioners.

In addition to his role as commissioner, Patrick is the Director of Sales and Marketing at PHD Laboratories, where he focuses on enhancing patient outcomes through advanced medical testing services. His diverse career also includes leadership positions in various sectors, including sales and marketing, where he has developed strategic initiatives that align with community needs. As a U.S. Marine Corps combat veteran, he brings a disciplined approach to leadership and a profound understanding of teamwork and service.

Patrick's dedication to education and workforce development is exemplified by his work on the North Carolina Safer Schools Task Force and his efforts to secure funding for Career Technical Education programs in Guilford County. He actively collaborates with local businesses, community leaders, and legislators to create pathways for students and families to access valuable opportunities. His skills in legislative relations, public policy, and constituent services enable him to effectively advocate for the needs of his district.

A graduate of Appalachian State University with a B.S. in Political Science and Communications and a Master’s in Management from Troy University, Patrick is well-equipped to address the challenges facing Guilford County. Residing in District 3 with his family, Patrick remains committed to fostering inclusive community engagement and encouraging open dialogue with constituents. He invites all residents to reach out and share their concerns and ideas, reflecting his belief in the importance of public service and collaborative governance.
