Guilford County Environmental Services invites all county residents to participate in its upcoming Spring Cleanup Recycling Event on Saturday, May 26, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.at Eastern Guilford Middle School, located at 435 Peeden Drive, Gibsonville, NC 27249.
The recycling event is free and open to all Guilford County residents. Business waste will not be accepted.
Accepted items include:
· Appliances: Washers, dryers, push mowers, hot water heaters, etc.
· Electronics: Computers, televisions, microwaves, video game consoles, electronic toys, and cell phones.
· Tires: Up to 50 passenger tires or 10 heavy truck tires per vehicle.
· Foam, plastic bags, and cardboard: Clean plastic bags and broken-down cardboard boxes (Foam peanuts will not be accepted).
· Personal documents for shredding: Secure shredding available for up to five file boxes per vehicle.
Household hazardous waste items will not be accepted at this event. Residents may take household hazardous waste to ECOFLO, Inc., 2750 Patterson Street, Greensboro, NC.
· Monday to Friday: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
· Saturday: 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
