The above links may also be used to access previous election results. Reports and certified Guilford County election results can also be viewed on this page when available.

How to Use the Election Results Dashboard and Frequently Asked Questions

  • View live election results updated every five (5) to 10 minutes after all polls close
  • Explore data via breakout maps, tables, and charts
  • Download election results data spreadsheets
  • Access historical election results (1992-present)

Once polls close on election night, the dashboard is updated every five (5) to 10 minutes as precincts report results to the North Carolina State Board of Elections.

To view election results, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the dashboard through one of the above links
  2. To change information that auto populates, select desired Election Date, County (or choose "State" for statewide results), Office, and Contest
  3. Click "Display Results"

Click "Refresh" often to view most recent results.

  1. Perform the steps listed above.
  2. Click "View Contest Details"
  3. The "Contest Details" tab provides the total number of votes received by each candidate or ballot item, along with a map showing the winner of each county
  4. The "Results by Voting Method" tab provides a table with a breakdown of votes cast by method (e.g., in-person on Election Day, absentee by-mail, etc.)
  5. The "Results by Contest" tab provides a table with a breakdown of votes cast in each county

Click "Refresh" often to view most recent results.

Election results remain unofficial until certified through the Canvass process; certified results will be posted after Canvass.
