Reclaim Your Pet
If you believe your pet could be at Guilford County Animal Services, please view our lost pet gallery (link) to see if your pet is here at the shelter. It updates every 1-3 hours and is the most accurate way to search for a lost pet that may be here at the shelter. All animals that come in as strays are posted in that gallery. We do not allow citizens to walk through our intake department for public safety and reduce stress on our most stressed residents.
If you recognize your pet on our website, please come to the shelter during business hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. any day to reclaim your pet. You will need a current government issued ID, proof of ownership, such as vet records or adoption papers, and be able to pay a reclaim fee for your pet.

Please note that these reclaim fees do not include any citations or fines that may be issued by Animal Control. If you were issued a citation payment for the citation would be due at time of pick up as well before the animal can be reclaimed.
