County Service Inventory
What is a Service Inventory?
A public-facing document that outlines the services provided by the county at a high level and from a resident's perspective.
Why did we create the Service Inventory?
- To Understand the Service Landscape - To empower the public to better understand the range of county services available to them and to delineate what the county is mandated to do versus what extra services Guilford County provides.
- To Provide a Common Language - Provide one continually updated resource for county users, the public, and Guilford County Commissioners to better understand the services offered and the expected outcomes of those services.
- To Shape Resource Requests - Create a tool for departments to use during the budget cycle to evaluate how needs and demands are changing according to the 4Ss (scope, scale, system, standard) to make data-informed resource requests.
This is an ongoing and continually updated resource that will change as resources, demand, and services change. The aim is to update the service inventory after each new fiscal year start to reflect any changes made during the budget process.
