The Guilford County Sheriff’s Office Legal Process Division consists of the Warrant Squad, Civil Process Section, and Records Section. They are also responsible for maintaining domestic violence orders, the issuance of handgun purchase permits, concealed carry permits, and maintains the county’s sex offender registry.

Because of the significant increase in the number of applicants for pistol purchase permits (PPPs) recently, those applying for a PPP may find it is taking longer to process your application.
