Adoption Fees Reduced for National Empty the Shelters Event

From Wednesday, Oct 1. through Wednesday, Oct. 15, Guilford County Animal Services (GCAS), partnering with the BISSELL Pet Foundation, will be offering reduced adoption fees for cats and dogs.

View adoptable pets at the Guilford County Animal Shelter. We are now OPEN for adoptions noon to 4 p.m., every day except Tuesdays.

Surrender a Pet

We are open by appointment only for owner surrenders to ensure we have space. You do not need an appointment to reclaim a lost pet, if you found a stray pet, or to drop off donations.

Animal Control

Animal Control is open Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Closed on Sundays. For services on Sunday, after hours, and holidays, call Metro 911 non-emergency number 336-373-2222. If it is an emergency, please call 911.
