Guilford County Division of Public Health Offering Final Back-To-School Immunization Clinics for Seventh and Twelfth Graders

Post Date:09/19/2024 12:51 PM

The Guilford County Division of Public Health (GCDPH) is offering parents and guardians a final opportunity for their seventh and twelfth graders to receive required back-to-school immunizations before the deadline for exclusion.

North Carolina law requires all incoming seventh graders to receive a Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis) vaccine and a MCV (Meningococcal Conjugate Vaccine) by the start of their seventh-grade year. All incoming twelfth graders are required to receive a second dose of the MCV (Meningococcal Conjugate Vaccine) by the start of their twelfth-grade year.

GCDPH welcomes any seventh and twelfth graders, who have not yet received required vaccines, and parents and guardians to attend one of four school immunization mobile clinics (no appointment needed) at the following dates and locations:

Parents and guardians should bring their child’s insurance or Medicaid card and immunization records. GCDPH will collect fees for out-of-network immunization services.
GCDPH also is offering the required immunizations by appointment at the following clinic locations: High Point (501 East Green Drive) or Greensboro (1100 East Wendover Avenue). Appointments for immunizations at clinic locations are available Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Please schedule your appointment by phone at (336) 641-3245.
Parents and guardians also may schedule appointments for the required immunizations with their child’s in-network primary care physician or at participating pharmacy clinics.
