Our Solid Waste Program provides waste collection, recycling, and disposal options for Guilford County residents. Staff investigate and address illegal burning and illegal dumping, oversee cleanups, perform landfill inspections, promote recycling education and opportunities, as well as research and provide options for future solid waste needs.

 - Tires, appliances, and electronics can be taken Monday through Friday to the Guilford County Scrap Tire and White Goods Collection Facility at 2138 Bishop Road in Greensboro, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM  Call (336) 641-9431 for details. Please arrive at least 30 minutes before closing to allow for time to unload materials.

-New Scrap Tire Disposal Fees began November 1, 2024 

Passenger tires increased to $1.13 each, heavy truck tires increased to $5.75 each, oversized tires increased to $0.05 per pound. More information here.
