Fire Operations

Guilford County Fire Operations staffs two units that supplement Guilford County Fire Agencies with additional on scene resources specializing in fireground operations, technical rescue & hazardous materials response. 

Guilford County provides a Hazardous Materials Response Team that staffed by highly qualified on-call members to assist allied agencies with mitigation of Hazardous Material Incidents.

Fire Marshal's Office

Guilford County Fire Marshal's handles all fire inspections and investigations within the county, with the exception of those areas inside the city limits of Greensboro & High Point.

Our Inspection's Role is to complete all requests for new construction plan review, as well as state mandated fire safety inspections of businesses and all school facilities.

All members of the Fire Marshal's Office are qualified fire investigators that assist each of the 22 Fire Districts in fire origin,cause and determination when requested.
