Home MenuWe are in need of citizens to join our volunteer team! Volunteers are a vital part of Guilford County Animal Services and assist the shelter in many different ways. Our opportunities to volunteer are as varied as our volunteers themselves! You must be 18 years or older to serve. Exceptions can be made but you must receive prior approval from the Volunteer Coordinator. Please see the list below for some ways you can help the animals of Guilford County!

Administrative – assist Volunteer Coordinator with administrative services
Dog Enrichment - walking/grooming/enrichment
Dogs Day Out - take a shelter dog out for walks and socialization
Events - Assist staff on and off site with various events
Photography / Writing / Creative Services – Limited program currently in progress
Early Morning Kennel Cleaning - assist staff with morning cleaning
Canine Comfort Crew - Nursing Home Visits with Shelter Pup
Cat Enrichment - socializing/grooming/enrichment
Lobby Greeter – Assist customers to adoption rooms and field questions
Pet of the Week – assist staff with local media appearances

Visit the app store and download the “Cause Connect” app.
Once you have created an account, look for “Guilford County Animal Resource Center” as the main page for the account.
