About Rich Fork Preserve:
- Rich Fork Preserve is a 120-acre former tobacco farmstead, purchased by the Guilford County Open Space Committee in 2012 using bond money approved by voters in 2004
- The preserve features a diverse trail system that includes both hiking and biking trails
- The Conner Nature Trail is classified as a "technical trail" due to its challenging topography and elevation changes. Hikers will experience a descent from a 50-foot bluff with significant elevation shifts
- The trail runs along the base of the bluff, showcasing unique vegetation such as Mountain Laurel, typically found at higher elevations
- The Historic Farmstead, located near the trail, can be viewed from the route, offering a glimpse into the property's agricultural past
