Picnic Shelter Information

To get the shelter of your choice, we strongly recommend you reserve it. A reservation ensures that your group will have the shelter of your choice on the day and time you choose.
Beer and wine are allowed at picnic shelters in cans and cups only. Glass containers are not allowed. Please drink responsibly and be aware that Hagan-Stone Park maintains a family-friendly atmosphere.

Planning a walk, race, festival, or event that involves the general public? Please contact park offices at 336-641-2090 to make reservations for such an event.

To Reserve a Shelter

Hagan-Stone Park picnic shelters are reserved in half-day or whole-day increments. A half-day is either 8am to 1:30pm, or 2:30pm to 7:30pm. The time for a full-day rental is 8 am until 7:30pm. We accept cash, checks, Master Card, Visa, Discover, and American Express.

Please be advised: When booking a shelter online, check your receipt and make sure the shelter rented is not processed at $0.00. If so, your reservations are NOT confirmed and you need to call the office at 336-641-2090 as soon as possible.

Half-Day: $60
Full-Day: $85

Shelters #1, #4, #5, #7 & the Playground (The playground shelter cannot be rented for a full day)
Half-Day: $100
Full-Day: $125

 Cancellation Policy:

Full refund when cancelled within 10 days of making reservation and payment in full and more than 30 days prior to reservation.

Full refund less $35 administrative fee when cancelled 30 days or more prior to date of reservation.

50% refund when cancelled 8-29 days prior to date of reservation.

NO REFUND when cancelled 7 days or less prior to date of reservation.

IN THE EVENT OF INCLEMENT WEATHER, ADVANCE PAYMENTS MAY BE APPLIED TO FUTURE RENTALS BASED ON AVAILABILITY AT THE SOLE DISCRETION OF GUILFORD COUNTY PARK MANAGEMENT. IN THE EVENT THAT ANY CREDITS ARE APPLIED TO A HOUSEHOLD ACCOUNT AT THE MANAGERS DISCRETION, THE CREDIT IS GOOD FOR UP TO ONE YEAR FROM THE DATE IT WAS ISSUED.

Playground Shelter

Hagan-Stone’s newest shelter is located beside Bradley’s Fun For All Playground, near a parking lot, restrooms, and the aquatic center. Horseshoes and volleyball are available for rent. Bounce houses and alcohol are not allowed at this shelter. Seats 24 people and accommodates 8 wheelchairs Grills: 1 small
