Bradley’s Fun For All Playground is a completely accessible playground with more than 20 play stations, a handicapped accessible restroom facility, a picnic shelter with accessible tables, a walking path and benches.
History
In 2004, a playground committee was formed to investigate acquiring new handicap accessible play equipment. After eight years of fund-raising, collecting donations, and grant writing, the committee has now raised over $124,000. With additional assistance from Guilford County, the playground officially opened on April 1, 2012.
The playground was named for Bradley Burris, the son of Sherri Burris, the chair of the committee. Without the dedication and hard work from Sherry and this committee, the playground would not exist. Their tireless efforts to raise money to benefit children with disabilities will help to improve the lives of all of the children who use this playground and their families for many years to come.
Donations
The Fun For All Playground Committee is still accepting community support for additional features to the playground and to provide for future repairs.
