MWBE Certification

According to General Statute (143-128.2) a “minority business” is defined as: At least 51 percent owned and controlled by one or more minority persons or socially and economically disadvantaged individuals. The statute defines the term “minority person” as the following:
  • Black
  • Hispanic
  • Asian American
  • American Indian
  • Female

Guilford County Vendor Supplier Portal Registration

Businesses seeking to do business with Guilford County must register online through the Vendor Supplier Portal. The new Guilford County e-Procurement System (GCePS) automates the exchange of information between the County, its suppliers and end users.

State Certification Benefits 

Certification with the state Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) office provides businesses with greater exposure to opportunities in state procurement and contracting.  

If you are interested in becoming a certified HUB firm or recertifying as a HUB firm, you must register in the electronic Vendor Portal (eVP) and request HUB Certification.
