The Guilford County Sheriff's Office will host the 15th Annual Polar Plunge to benefit Special Olympics North Carolina on Saturday, February 28 at Wet 'n Wild Emerald Pointe.

In 2010 the Guilford County Sheriff's Office took top honors as the TOP FUNDRAISER in North Carolina. The Guilford County Sheriff's Office raised $64,200 for Special Olympics. The Guilford County Sheriff’s Office has been involved in the Torch Run since 1992, and has raised over $607,000 just since the year 2000.

This years fundraising efforts begins with the 15th Annual Polar Plunge at Wet 'n Wild Emerald Pointe. Registration begins at 10:30am. Plunging begins at 1:00pm.

Plungers must raise a minimum of $50 to Plunge, but the more money you raise, the more opportunities you are creating for our athletes to experience the life-changing benefits of participating in Special Olympics — all at no cost to themselves or their families.
